I watched a show recently about people who were millionaires but you would never know. These people didn’t become millionaires because they had great jobs or had been lucky. They were millionaires because they had learned to cut costs in their everyday life. Some of them were overly obsessed, like the lady who washed out and reused straws from McDonalds. But there were some perfectly normal people who just knew how to save.
I came across this list of 101 ways to cut your daily costs.
Some of my favorites are
- Don’t keep unnecessary weight in the trunk of your car. More weight causes more fuel to be used.
- If you planning to buy a washing machine in the near future, go for a front loading machine. The front loading machine uses 50 % less energy and one-third less water.
- Do not take all the prescribed tests and procedures for their face value. Question the rationale of getting each and every test that has been prescribed.
- Don’t shop when you are hungry. Research says that you are likely to buy more when your stomach is growling.
