If you want to know why your computer takes so long to startup, its probably because you have a whole lot of programs that start when your computer starts. Many programs automatically configure their program to start when the computer does, that way you use it more and they make more money. So how do you monitor this without having to run msconfig all the time? It’s called Startup Monitor. It, ironically, runs when your computer starts but it uses very little memory. Whenever a programs tries to insert itself into the startup folder, a pop-up asks you if you want to allow this. You say no, your computer runs faster and women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.
