In all my searching of the internet I occasionally, yet rarely come upon sites with enough quality to warrant a bookmark to check back when there is new content. Of those sites there are even fewer that I continue to check a few weeks later. John Chow dot Com is one of those few. I first came across John Chow dot Com through a couple of links he got on Digg. After seeing a couple of his posts on Digg I decided to check through his archives to see if there were anymore nuggets of gold. His most useful topic for me is “The Net” which is basically about anything he finds useful on the internet. A lot of his posts are about how he is making money on his site and he keeps you up to date on his own earnings. For example, check out his November earnings. He also looks at new opportunities for making money such as PayPerPost. His article about PayPerPost being the most profitable for a low traffic blog inspired me to sign up and try writing some paid posts (i.e. this one).
You may want to start with his list of top posts and see what interests you. He sometimes puts up some posts about restaurant he has been to, but since I’m not from Vancouver they are really of no benefit to myself. Plus food never looks very good when taken with a personal camera. But check out some of his Adsense tips, as they are extremely useful.
