Laziness and Overcoming

The summers tend to breed laziness. Maybe, unlike Superman, the sun drains your powers. Or maybe you really are just a bum. Here are some tips to overcoming laziness:

  • Start a task that you are interested in. Even if it isn’t important it will get you up and doing something.
  • Change your routine. A break from the daily routine will eliminate the monotony and make you use your brain instead of just mindlessly going through the motions.
  • Get out and exercise. Excercising will increase your energy and leave you on a high even after working out.
  • Hang out with someone who is motivated to complete a task. Generally, that motivation is contagious.
  • Learn something. This allows you to still lay around on the couch, but if you are reading a book, at least you are doing something.
  • Take the perfect nap. This will allow you rest but if done correctly, you will waken ready to go.
