I am a chronic procrastinator. Of course I have been trying to practice structured procrastination, meaning that I do something even though it may not be the highest priority.
One way you can defeat procrastination is to practice the 10-minute rule. Instead of not doing the task, just commit to doing it for at least 10 minutes. Generally after you have become involved in the task you will get motivated to finish it. I not then at least do something else.
Give the 10-minute rule a try and if you decide to procrastinate, then practice structured procrastination and do something.
