A while back there was a very big term called podcasting that garnered enough attention for Apple to open a podcast section of their iTunes store. Unfortunately for you, this brings Apple little, if any, revenue so they rarely speak of it. Podcasts provide hours of free information and entertainment. You could listen to lectures at UC Berkely or watch the Strong Bad emails (remember 2002). Most of the popular TV shows have fans with a podcast. You can even download all kinds of podcasts that will help you learn different languages.
Here are some that I recommend:
- The History of the Byzantine Empire
- Jim Cramer’s Radio Show
- The Entrepreneurial Though Leaders is a great series especially the one with the founder of Trilogy
The Ricky Gervais podcast, probably the most famous, is no longer free but a Google search should turn up the free first season.
