Not only that but we don’t read every word. An eyetracking study using three different web pages showed that users read web content in an F-shaped pattern and do it very quickly.


What does this mean for you? First, you may not be reading this all if its not in the F. Second, you may be missing good stuff in the non-F areas. Third is for webmasters, you need to put your most important content in these locations since it is what is read the most.
